Using DropComments

DropComments is provided by Awan Ventures, registered in the Netherlands under KVK number 42204858. By using DropComments you agree to these terms with Awan Ventures. If you use it for an organisation, you agree to them for that organisation.

Your content

What you drop and write stays yours. You give DropComments permission to store it, process it (for example, making images smaller) and show it to the people who have the link or, for a private Drop, the people you add, only to provide the service.

Only drop what you have the right to share. A free Drop is public to anyone with its link, so don’t drop anything you wouldn’t want seen.

What not to do

Don’t use DropComments to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, share malware or phishing pages, harass people, or share sexual content involving minors. Don’t try to get around its limits or security, or overload it. Drops that break these rules may be removed, and accounts closed.

The free plan

A free Drop is public to anyone with its link, open for comments for 24 hours, then read only for 7 days, then deleted. These limits may change.

Pro

Pro costs $9 a month, charged by Awan Ventures through Stripe until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Prices may change with notice before your next payment.

The service

DropComments is provided as it is. It’s built with care, but it may sometimes be unavailable, and features may change. Keep your own copies of anything important.

As far as the law allows, DropComments isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losing content, and its total liability is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before the claim.

Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law, and disputes go to the courts of the Netherlands. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and can bring a claim there.

Changes

These terms may change. The new version will be posted here with its date, and using DropComments after that means you accept it.
